Icing On the cake
"Icing On The Cake" was my first time trying my hand at screenwriting and creating a narrative film. There are parts of the production that definitely show it's age, but the whimsical nature of the story and the "art department" - costume, character design, that I still find very charming.
"Icing On The Cake" is a quirky, offbeat short film about a failed baking experiment that comes to life and has one day to discover the mundane joys of everyday humanhood.
As I've written more, I've discovered that I gravitate towards a similar tone as this piece. Whimsical, wholesome, weird. I love making people laugh. My latest script, "Trick or Treat", also features a silly monster who befriends a human.
